Vehicle rental for the oil and gas industry in Venezuela is a contract service: the operator or contractor receives pickups in excellent condition, with a signed handover record, 24/7 GPS tracking, preventive maintenance handled by the supplier and a replacement unit if one fails. You use the vehicle; the supplier answers for it.

That is how Prestige Empire has worked since 2017, with 60+ vehicles in its own fleet. This guide explains what the service includes, how it works and what to check before signing.

Why is pickup rental for oil companies done under contract?

A field operation is not planned one day at a time. Crews, supervisors and technical visits need units available for the whole project, and the company needs to know who is responsible for each one.

A formal contract puts that in writing:

  • Number and type of units
  • Dates, delivery site and authorized drivers
  • Mode: with or without driver
  • Maintenance, assistance and replacement
  • Add-ons, if any

Rates are calculated per day and per vehicle type, and every proposal is delivered in writing. At the close of each period, both parties are looking at the same document.

What does contract vehicle rental include?

Every vehicle rental service always includes:

  • Formal contract
  • Handover and return record with photos and mileage
  • 24/7 GPS
  • Maintenance and replacement if the unit fails

On top of that come 24/7 assistance and mileage and maintenance control for each unit.

Add-ons, depending on what the operation needs:

  • Starlink antenna: on-board Wi-Fi, useful in field areas with no signal. Billed separately.
  • Occasional driver: requested by email 7 days in advance.
  • Additional units and equipment: from the own fleet or partners, when the requirement grows.

How is each unit handed over and returned?

The pickup is delivered ready to work and in excellent condition. That is not left to words: it goes into a record.

  1. Handover record. Photos and departure mileage, signed by both parties.
  2. The unit in your operation. 24/7 GPS, maintenance on us, 24/7 assistance and replacement if the unit fails.
  3. Return record. Photos and arrival mileage, compared with the handover.

The record settles the usual end-of-contract argument about the condition the vehicle left in and the condition it came back in. Both parties signed the same thing, with photos.

Who handles preventive maintenance?

The supplier. At Prestige Empire, preventive maintenance is on us, with mileage and maintenance control per unit. You do not have to take the pickup to a workshop, find spare parts or schedule inspections.

If a unit fails, 24/7 assistance kicks in and it is replaced with another so the work does not stop. The broken-down unit becomes the supplier's problem, not your operation's.

With or without a driver?

Both modes use the same contract, record and GPS. What changes is who drives.

Without driver With driver
Who drives Your authorized staff A trained Prestige Empire driver
What the supplier provides Unit, maintenance, 24/7 assistance and replacement Unit, driver and route control
Driving Under your internal policies Defensive driving and industrial safety, aligned with the Smith System
Tracking 24/7 GPS 24/7 GPS

If you need to move groups, the crew transport service runs 15-seat vans and 32- and 45-seat buses on the route you agree.

Which vehicles can be rented?

The own fleet includes:

  • Double-cab pickups: Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Foton Tunland and JAC/HFC. For the field, crews and light cargo.
  • SUVs: Ford Territory, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Fortuner. For supervision, executives and convoys.
  • Executive units: Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 and LC200.

Machinery, ambulances and armored vehicles are sourced on request through partners and delivered with a record. The available unit is confirmed when quoting.

Frequently asked questions

What do you need to quote a pickup rental?

Your company details, number and type of units, dates, delivery site and authorized drivers. With a driver, also routes, schedules, number of passengers and meeting points.

What happens if the pickup breaks down in the field?

24/7 assistance is available and the unit is replaced with another. Maintenance is Prestige Empire's responsibility, not your operation's.

How is the price calculated?

Per day and per vehicle type. The number of units, whether a driver is included and add-ons such as the Starlink antenna also play a part.

What documents are signed?

A formal contract and a record per unit: a handover record on departure and a return record on arrival, both with photos and mileage.
